Very good interpretation. Modern layout which should appeal to all ages. Starts with a Nelson Gallery that focuses on the Adult life of Nelson. Some interesting artifacts but we felt it was built arrond those rather than aspects of his life. To be fair it was more a focus on the Naval Career. Some with a more academic need may feel that the overall history of the Navy was a bit light.
Absolute gem. Lots to do for all ages. Ships, submarines boat trips and history.
Really interesting museum full of amazing artefacts from the RN. So much cool stuff to see, lovely gift shops and places to have a bite to eat.
Fantastic day out. So much to see. Fascinating insight to navy times if old. The Mary Rose building has many artifacts and audio visual experiences, even displayed within the ship's remnants. Will definitely be returning in a month or so to visit areas we ran out of time for on this visit.
Come early and stay late ... so much to see. We made the mistake of arriving in the afternoon and had to cut our visit short due to 5pm closing. We were charged full price, which seemed a bit odd. Perhaps the organizers would consider the pricing structure to accommodate those with limited time. Must cost a boat load to keep this show a float. :)
Another wonderful day out here. The full family experience tickets let you come back again and again throughout a whole.l calendar year. Still not managed to bore the children who keep on making us come back to see more and more.
OMG. If you are looking for a Xmas present that keeps on giving then this as a part of the Portsmouth Dockyard experience is a gift which keeps on giving. You can go back as many times as you want within the year. Believe me you need to as you cannot do it all within a couple of days.
We arrived on a sunny day with a slight breeze so that was good. We bought our tickets online for £31 each. You can park just around the corner for £7 , there's a co-op there so it's worth getting a few drinks and sandwiches if you want. …
